Two Oakland residents are arrested after the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division searched a motel and found suspected drug activity. According to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office the search happened late Monday night at a motel in Oakland. Deputies received a tip about drug use and sales which lead to the investigation. Inside the hotel room deputies found heroin, methamphetamine, hydrocodone, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash. 25 year old Michael Rechkart and 25 year old Nikki McDaniel both of Oakland were arrested and face a variety of charges. Both are being held at the Garrett County Detention Center.
