Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust in Garrett County

A traffic stop in Garrett County results in a drug arrest. According to Maryland State Police on Thursday Feb 23rd  troopers from the McHenry Barrack stopped a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis for traffic violations.  During the stop, a K-9 scan was conducted on the vehicle resulting in a positive alert.  Troopers subsequently searched the vehicle and located a heat sealed plastic bag containing suspected cocaine (53 grams) and suspected Oxycodone pills (124 pills) in the air filter.  In addition to the cocaine and oxycodone, troopers also located a heat sealed bag containing suspected marijuana (41 grams) in the trunk.  As a result, troopers arrested the driver, 46 year old  Omar H. Roach  of New York, NY.  Roach was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana and oxycodone, and possession of cocaine, marijuana and oxycodone.
