Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Wanted Man

A traffic stop in LaVale leads to the arrest of a wanted man. According to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office  Aug 22nd, 2020 at about  10:30pm deputies conducted a traffic and when deputies made contact with the occupants the deputies observed several factors consistent with criminal activity.  A probable cause search was established and deputies located a Glock 19 handgun with an extended magazine, which contained thirty hollow point rounds of ammunition.  While arresting the suspect, Michael Lee Hall III, deputies located approximately 8 grams of suspected 3,4 – methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance. Hall is also currently wanted through the Alexandria Virginia Police Department, on an outstanding violation of probation warrant, related to a prior felony robbery conviction.  Hall was subsequently charged with the following:

FIREARM POSS W/FEL CONVICT

HANDGUN IN VEHICLE
REG FIREARM:ILLEGAL POSSESSION
ILLEGAL POSS AMMO
CDS: POSSESS-NOT MARIJUANA

Hall was taken before a District Court commissioner, and ordered held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
