One person is hospitalized after a roll over crash in Hampshire County. According to West Virginia State Police on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at approximately7:41pm , Cpl Bowland of the West Virginia State Police-Romney Detachment responded to a single vehicle crash which occurred on US RT 50. A silver, 2003, Chevrolet S10 driven by Zachary Reczek of Romney, WV was traveling westbound on US RT 50 and traveled off the north roadway edge striking a telephone pole, continued over an embankment striking multiple trees and rolled onto its side. Assisting with the investigation were members of the Hampshire County Sheriff Deputy Shockey. Members for the Capon Bridge, Augusta, and Slanesville Fire Department and County Ambulance and Augusta Rescue Squad responded to the scene. The subject was flown by Healthnet8 to Inova Fairfax. The case remains under investigation by Cpl Bowland of the West Virginia State Police Romney Detachment.
