A LaVale woman faces assault charges. According to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office on June 29th at approximately 10:30 PM Deputies of The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a LaVale business for a report of a female that had stabbed someone. Deputies arrived and determined that Theresa Jean Roy, 37 years old of LaVale, had stabbed a male at a private residence in the LaVale area. Roy then fled that residence and went to a business where they called 911.
The male was located and transported to the hospital for serious but apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
Roy was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault and held at the Allegany County Detention Center to await an appearance before a judicial officer.
