Flintstone Man Behind Bars on Child Sex Abuse Charges

A Flintstone man is behind bars on three million dollars bond after turning himself in on child sex abuse chases. According to C3I officials  Thursday March 2nd , 35 year old Travis Keith Heavner, of Flintstone, was arrested by the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office after he surrendered himself to authorities.
​A warrant had been issued for Heavner’s arrest as the result of a joint investigation by the Maryland State Police, Child Protective Services, and the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) into allegations, first reported to the MSP on Feb 27th that Heavner had sexually abused two young girls and had solicited another for nude photos. The ensuing investigation revealed that Heavner had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with two girls over a number of years, and had just recently solicited another other young girl for nude pictures of herself. The girls ranged in age from 10 years of age to 17 years of age. Heavner has been charged with Sexual Abuse of a Minor/Continuing Course of Conduct, Soliciting Child Porn, and related charges. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $3,000,000.00 bond, pending his next court appearance. Additional charges are anticipated. The investigation is continuing by C3I.
