Construction Ahead of Schedule At Footer Dye Works

Construction continues on the Footer Dye Works building at Canal Place. Canal Place Executive Director Deidra Ritchie says they are very excited about the progress so far. “It is ahead of schedule as far as construction goes,  the roof is 90 percent complete and they are working on the windows. Michael Joy one of the partners of the Footer Dye Works Project has just signed Patrick’s to be one of the tenants so we are very excited about that.” Ritchie says they also still plan on bringing a brew pub into the facility. She says it would be a separate lease but the owners of the brew pub would work with the owners of Patrick’s.  She says they expect to be open by the end of the year. The project is also expected to include offices and luxury apartments in the upper floors and plans for a sawtooth addition with outdoor dining. Ritchie says the plans to bring Barley and Hops microbrew from Frederick is not completely off the table but they are opening up the opportunity to other breweries.  Ritchie says there are several events planned over the next several months at Canal Place.
