Richard Cioni has been appointed to fill the vacancy on Cumberland City Council. According to a statement from councilwoman Nicole Alt Myers “Although it was a difficult decision given the slate of candidates, I am very pleased with our selection of Rock Cioni to join us for the remainder of Councilman Kauffman’s term. Rock has served on the Parks and Rec board for several years and has a great understanding of our vision for the city. I am very excited to work with him.” According to Councilman Seth Bernard “I’ve served with Rock on the Parks and Rec Commission since I began my term in January of 2015, and I knew from the beginning that he truly cares about our community, and is eager to see Cumberland move forward. That’s why, for me, it was an easy decision to appoint Rock, because I’m absolutely confident that he will help continue the progress that has been made over the past year.”
