West Virginia State Police have released the identity of a construction worker killed in an accident in Hampshire County last night. At about 9pm emergency crews were called out to a work zone near Hampshire High School along US Route 50. When crews arrived on the scene they found the victim Mark Haines of New Creek had been struck and run over by the road milling machine after falling under the machine. He was working with the road crew at the time of the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
