WV DOH Announces Work Zones in Mineral and Grant Counties

The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists of upcoming delays on WV 28 in Mineral County beginning as early as Monday, July 19, 2021. The work zone will be between Painter Hollow Road (CR 28/5) and WV 956. These delays will be between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Traffic will be under the direction of flaggers and a pilot truck. Motorists should expect significant delays and are advised to use an alternate route if possible. These delays are necessary for a paving project. The contractor, Belt Paving, estimates the project to be completed in approximately 1 week. Exact schedule is weather dependent.

The West Virginia Division of Highways announces that Lunice Creek Highway (WV 42) in Grant County will be reduced to one lane beginning as early as Tuesday, July 20, 2021.The lane closure, located approximately 0.75 miles north of the intersection with Jordan Run Road (CR 28/7), will be in place 24 hours a day. This lane closure is necessary to replace two bridge superstructures over an unnamed tributary of North Fork of Lunice Creek. Traffic will be maintained through the project by use of temporary traffic signals. Signs will be in place to warn motorists, who are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
