Wild Women Wednesday Kicks Off Today At Rocky Gap State Park

Calling all Wild Women! Kick off Great Outdoors Month June 1st with fellow ‘wild’ and outdoor loving women every Wednesday evening in June. Join a Rocky Gap Naturalist for a breathtaking (for the scenery and the exercise!) and moderately challenging hike through evergreen and rhododendron forest, down into a scenic ravine and then ascend part of Evitts Mountain Trail (for a great ‘bum’ workout) before looping back. All hiking experience levels welcome, as this is great opportunity to challenge yourself, and gain skills in a fun and beautiful atmosphere.

When: 5:30pm, June 1st

Where: Rocky Gap State Park, Touch of Nature Parking Lot at 5:30pm

Wear: Please wear close-toed shoes for hiking and bring at least one water bottle. There are some trail sections with uneven, rocky, and steep terrain, but we will teach hiking tips and move at a pace comfortable for all.
