The City of Cumberland Engineering Department would like to notify the public on the behalf of Columbia Gas of Maryland that the following roads shall be closed overnight to perform roadway repairs:
Centre Street – Closed from Union Street to Frederick Street between 7:00am Tuesday, 9/22, through 9:00am Wednesday, 9/23.
Liberty Street – From Frederick Street to Pershing Street between 9:00am Wednesday, 9/23, through 9:00am Thursday, 9/24.
This schedule may change due to weather conditions. The roads shall remain closed overnight to allow the new concrete to sufficiently harden to support vehicle loads.
The roads will remain accessible for use by EMS vehicles. Detour signs will be installed to route vehicles around the construction site on each day.
