Paw Paw Man Sentenced On Robbery Charges

A Paw Paw man is convicted and sentenced on armed robbery charges. According to the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office 36 year old Abdul Siddiq was sentenced to spend 15 years behind bars by Honorable W. Timothy Finan.   In the early morning hours of December 30, 2015, Siddiq entered a convenience store located in Bowling Green, displayed what appeared to be a handgun to the clerk and robbed the store of cash and cigarettes. A co-defendant, Scott Levine, was previously convicted and sentenced for his role in the matter. The investigation revealed that the two men had traveled there together, along with a Kristin Miller, who drove the vehicle, for the purpose of committing the robbery.  Levine was apprehended and questioned by police, at which time he admitted that he and Siddiq had conspired to commit the robbery.  Clothing, a ski mask and shoes located in the suspect’s vehicle and on his person, matched that of the robber, based on video surveillance of the incident.  Miller is expected to enter into a plea agreement on June 2, relating to her involvement in the matter.  The case was investigated by the C3I Unit and Maryland State Police.  Assistant State’s Attorney Erich Bean prosecuted the case.  Siddiq was represented by David Schram of the Public Defender’s Office.
