An NBCI inmate is convicted and sentenced for killing his cellmate. According to the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office Paul Martin was sentenced to the maximum 30 years behind bars to be served consecutively to the life sentence he was serving at the time of the murder. July 16th 2015 NBCI staff found Terrance Cirata dead in his cell. An autopsy, conducted by the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, revealed that Cirata had been strangled. Cirata’s cellmate, Martin gave a full confession to the murder. Martin was serving a life sentence for First Degree Murder and related offenses at the time.
