MSP Searching for Suspect In Attempted Kidnapping and Assault

Maryland State Police are searching for the suspect involved in an attempted kidnapping and assault. According to a press release from MSP on 12/12/19 at approximately 1:30 pm, the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack responded to the 3600 block of Glendale Road, Swanton, Garrett County, Maryland for an attempted kidnapping and second degree assault.

Troopers responded to the scene and met with a female victim, who advised that an unknown white male suspect described as 6’3, thin build, bald (no hair), no facial hair (clean shaven), green colored tattoo on his upper left arm wearing a black colored tee shirt and blue jean pants operating a blue/teal colored newer model Jeep Wrangler with a black colored roof/hardtop bearing possible Ohio registration, stopped along Glendale Road where she was seated inside her disabled vehicle along the road. The suspect entered her vehicle and attempted to forcefully remove her from the vehicle, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect then fled the scene and was last seen traveling eastbound Glendale Road toward Bittinger Road (RT. 495).
