A Morgantown man faces assault and weapons charges. According to Cumberland Police Monday, September 9th officers served an arrest warrant on 30 year old Andrew Russell Viney. The warrant was issued following an investigated by police back on August 31st, 2019 at a N. Mechanic Street residence. Viney allegedly went to the and pointed a .22 rifle at residents through a window. He was charged with assault 1st and 2nd degree, peeping tom, dangerous weapon with intent to injure, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment. Viney was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
