Law enforcement officials are investigating a report of shots fired last night. According to Cumberland Police just before 8pm officers from the Cumberland Police Department along with Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, and Troopers from the Maryland State Police were dispatched to Fort Cumberland Homes for a report of multiple shots fired and some type of disturbance. Officers arrived and located a large group of people leaving the area. Information was obtained about possible suspects. The scene was secured and evidence was collected. At this time the investigation is ongoing and additional information is needed.
