The former Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department treasurer pleads to embezzlement charges. According to officials with the Mineral County Prosecutors office Cheryl Shipley was indicted by the grand jury in May of 2015. Shipley entered a plea to the felony charge of embezzlement. The case is continues for pre-sentencing investigation and a sentencing and restitution hearing will be set following the investigation. Shipley was charged with embezzling more than $300 thousand dollars from the Ridgeley VFD from 2005 through 2010
