A federal judge has ruled that three big cats currently at the Tri-State Zoological Park will be have be taken to an accredited sanctuary. The ruling comes after a six day bench trial in November following a lawsuit filed by the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) under the Endangered Species Act.

Bob Candy owner of the Tri-State Zoo says they are fighting the ruling. He says he will keep the community updated on social media.

PETA Foundation Captive Animal Law Enforcement Director Brittany Peet says they plan to have the three big cats moved by the end of the month. To hear the interview with Peet click here https://soundcloud.com/amanda-mangan/peta-on-tri-state-zoological-park-for-pht-mp3
