Fatality Following Crash Believed to Be Caused By Medical Issue

A Frostburg woman is dead following a crash due to what is believed to be caused by a medical issue. According to Allegany County Sheriff’s office officials at 12:30 pm yesterday deputies responded to what appeared to be a single motor vehicle collision on Cabin Run Rd. On arrival it was learned that 44 year old Suzette Bennett of Frostburg was traveling east on Cabin Run Rd. and skidded off of the roadway coming to rest against a stump. A passerby stopped and found that Ms. Bennett was unconscious and not breathing. The passerby summoned medical assistance, removed Ms. Bennett from the vehicle and began CPR and continued to do so until medical personnel arrived. Based on the minimal damage to the vehicle, it appeared that Ms. Bennett suffered some sort of medical episode and she was pronounced deceased on arrival at the W.M.H.S. Regional Medical Center. This Investigation is continuing.
