Delaware Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

A Delaware man is arrested following a traffic stop. According to Allegany County Sheriff’s officials just before 11pm last night a deputy was in the area of Rocky Gap and I-68 when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.  The Deputy conducted a traffic stop and the operator of the vehicle
admitted to having a handgun in the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle the deputy found  a loaded .45 caliber pistol and a loaded 9mm pistol.  Numerous controlled medications without prescriptions were
also located in the vehicle. 54 year old Jerry Allen Ramsey of Wilmington Delaware was
arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of Firearm During Drug Trafficking
Use of Firearm During Commission of a Felony
Did Engage in Drug Trafficking While Armed
Did Wear and Carry a Handgun
Did Carry a Handgun Upon Person
Possession of CDS Not Marijuana
Possession with Intent to Distribute

Ramsey was released on his own recognizance after an initial appearance with a District Court Commissioner.
