Cumberland Woman Killed in Washington County Crash

A Cumberland woman is dead after a three vehicle crash along I-68 in Washington County. According to Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack at about 7:59am Tuesday morning troopers were called out to eastbound I-68 at the 75 mile marker near Hancock for the crash. The initial investigation revealed all three vehicles were heading eastbound in lane 2. Traffic came to a stop in front of a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 53 year old Timothy Cosner of Oakland. A Ford F-150 driven by 32 year old Jamie Snider of Cumberland crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer driven by 58 year old Christopher Marshall of Keyser,WV. Marshall’s vehicle then struck Cosner’s vehicle. Snider was pronounced dead at the scene. Marshall was not injured. Cosner and his passenger 50 year old Darlene Cosner were not injured. The crash remains under investigation by Maryland State Police.
