Cumberland Salvation Army to Partner with The Boys and Girls Club

The Cumberland Salvation Army will begin a partnership this summer with the Boys and Girls Club and is a newly chartered the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Allegany County. Captain Ronette Smith says thanks to a donation from Glenn Harvey Jones they are able to move in a new director with their youth programing. Captain Smith says this opens training opportunities for staff and the children they serve. She says they will be focused on STEAM, science, technology, engineering, art and math in their programs. They will be doing a soft opening for their summer program June 21st and then a bigger kick off in August for the after school program.
