Cumberland Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted abduction. According to Police officials Tuesday at 2:31 pm officers responded to a private residence on South Street for a report that a man in a white van tried to lure a thirteen year old girl into his vehicle. The juvenile female quickly fled the area and called the police. She was not harmed. Officers are currently following investigating this matter. The van is described as a white construction van with ladders on the roof possibly displaying California registration. The driver is described as a dark complected male with dark hair and a mustache.
