Cumberland Police are investigating after a stash of copper wire was found in wooded area. According to Cumberland Police, officers responded to the area of W. Oldtown Rd. and the CSX train tracks by Fort Cumberland Homes for a report of suspicious activity. Upon their arrival they made contact with the witness who advised that they observed two subjects acting suspicious in the wooded area off of the road. They advised that after the subjects left the area the witnesses went to see what they were doing. They located a large cache of copper wire hidden under a tarp. The wire was confiscated by the officers and at this time the Cumberland Police Department has no victim for this theft of wire.
