Mineral County Prosecutor James W. Courrier, Jr., will be sworn in as a circuit judge at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, in a ceremony in the courtroom of the Mineral County Courthouse in Keyser.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin appointed him to the bench in the Twenty-First Judicial Circuit (Grant, Mineral and Tucker Counties) on January 12 to fill the vacancy created by the December 31, 2015, retirement of Judge Philip Jordan. Assistant prosecutor for Mineral County Cody Pancake has been appointed by the Mineral County Commissioners to replace Courrier.
