A couple wanted in connection with a murder in Washington County is arrested in Arizona. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crystal Dawn Stanley and Jerry Wayne Smith Jr. were arrested in Kingman, Arizona by Arizona State Police. An Arizona State Trooper ran a registration check of the vehicle the suspects were traveling in and it revealed the vehicle was wanted in connection with the homicide. The suspects are being held at the Mohave County Jail pending extradition to Maryland. On May 20th the family of 81 year old Margaret McAllister found her dead inside her home. An autopsy was performed on Saturday, May 21st, 2016 and the death was ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland. Stanley and Smith are both charged with Murder-First Degree, Murder-Second Degree, Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault-First Degree, and Assault-Second Degree.
