Bu the Lion Has Been Taken Off Exhibit at the Tri-State Zoological Park, Care and Rescue

Bu the lion at the Tri-State Zoological Park, Care and Rescue has been taken off of exhibit. Director of the Park, Care and Rescue Bob Candy says Bu is 13 which is old for a male lion and has started to lose his mane and his coat is getting darker which is typical as a lion ages. Candy says they want to let Bu live the rest of his life peacefully. He says their goal at the Park, Care and Rescue is to educate people about animals and part of that education is understanding that animals do grow old. Candy says he understands that many in the community have come to know and love Bu. He says old lions still like to roar and their focus is to provide that opportunity for Bu. Candy says he is grateful to all of the volunteers who help at the Park, Care and Rescue and the support from the community
