A black widow spider was found and killed in the girl’s locker room at Allegany High School on Friday. According to ACPS officials the Operations Department arranged for an inspection of the area by Ehrlich Pest Control, who found no other live arachnids. There is no current danger to students and staff , but as a precaution, access to the affected area has been restricted. In accordance with the school system’s Integrated Pest Management policy and as a precautionary measure, the area will be treated over the weekend. Access to the building was denied until today.
