No One Was Injured When Vehicle Drove Into George’s Creek

No one was injured when a vehicle went into the water along Lower George’s Creek Road at Detmold St in Lonaconing late last night. The occupants were out of the vehicle when emergency crews arrived on the scene, Maryland State Police are investigating. According to MSP troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack responded to the area of Maryland Rt. 36 at Detmold Street in Lonaconing, Maryland for a single vehicle collision off the roadway. Investigation revealed a 2010 Jeep SUV was traveling on Maryland Rt. 36 when the vehicle lost control and drove off of the roadway, overturning into George’s Creek. The vehicle’s two occupants were able to escape from the vehicle without injury. Maryland Rt. 36 was temporary closed for the recovery and towing of the vehicle, however, is now open.
