Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State to get federal funding

Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University will get hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal funding. US Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin announced that the US Department of Education has awarded more than 4 million dollars in grants to 15 higher education institutions across Maryland. ACM will receive $220,000 and FSU will receive $332,930. The money was awarded through the Student Support Services Program which will provide students with academic tutoring for course selection, information on financial aid and economic literacy and support to transfer from a two year to a four year college.
