Cumberland native and Detroit Lions running back Ty Johnson received the Honorary Deputy award from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Craig Robertson says Johnson is a role model to children throughout the region on and off the field. Johnson says he is thankful for the award and he realizes how important it is to give back to the kids in the community. Johnson says he is grateful for all the support he has received.
