The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division Deputies arrested a Garrett, Pennsylvania man on felony drug charges and a Grantsville man on drug possession charges Wednesday September 1st stemming from a traffic stop. Narcotics Division Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Glendale Road near Booger Ridge Road in Swanton around 6:30pm Wednesday evening. A K9 scan of the vehicle by a Maryland State Trooper led to the seizure of more than $600 in hydrocodone pills , a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Arrested during the investigation was 58 year old Duane David Hetz of Garrett, PA and 55 year old Timothy Joe Beachy of Grantsville. Hetz was charged with possession with the intent to distribute hydrocodone, possession of hydrocodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Beachy was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were being held at the Garrett County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
