Two People Arrested and Two Juveniles Face Charges After Separate Drug Investigations.

Two people are arrested following a drug investigation in Cumberland. According to Cumberland Police on 02/25/2020 Officers assigned to the Patrol Division of the Cumberland Police Department with assistance from the Maryland State Police, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, C3I Investigations, and the Cumberland Police Emergency Response Team (CERT) executed a Search and Seizure Warrant in the 600blk of Greene St. The warrant stems from an investigation into the usage and sales of illegal narcotics conducted by the Cumberland Police Department. As a result of the warrant officers arrested 64 year old William Charles Johnston charging him with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not marijuana, one count of possession of controlled paraphernalia, prohibited person in possession of a rifle/shotgun, and illegal possession of ammunition. Officers also arrested 33 year old Tanya Marie Dom charging her with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not marijuana and one count of possession of controlled paraphernalia. Both Johnston and Dom were transported to the Central Booking at the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance at District Court.

As a result of the warrant officers will be forwarding charges on two juveniles through the Department of Juvenile Services charging them with CDS related offenses.
