Two Cumberland Residents Arrested on Drug Charges

According to a press release from the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force on December 12, 2019 two Cumberland residents face drug charges. Members of the task force with the assistance of the Cumberland City Police Department, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack and Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, executed a search and seizure warrant in the South George Street area of Cumberland, MD.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force into the distribution and sales of cocaine in the Allegany County area. During the subsequent search, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force investigators located large amounts of cocaine. The approximate street value of the cocaine located was $18,000.

As a result, 36 year old Brandon Joseph Steinmetz of Cumberland and 33 year old Marquia Lee Cash of Cumberland were arrested.

Steinmetz and Cash were charged with the following:

– CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST COCAINE
– CDS: POSS-NOT MARIJUANA
