Three Allegany County Residents Face Drug Charges

Three Allegany County residents face drug charges. According to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office on June 26th 2020, Members of the with the assistance of the Cumberland City Police Department C.E.R.T team executed a search and seizure warrant at a Cecil Avenue address located in Cresaptown, Maryland. The warrant stemmed from Neighborhood complaints and CDS investigations that revealed drug activity at the said residence. The Cumberland C.E.R.T Team made entry into the residence. A search of the residence was conducted and a quantity of Heroin, Fentanyl, Buprenorphine, CDS paraphernalia and cash was located within the residence.

As a result, Cassandra Baker age 34 Cresaptown, Md, Eddie Morris Jr., age 39 Cresaptown, Md and Jeffrey Gowans Age 41 Cresaptown, Md were taken into custody. Baker was charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute narcotic, Possession of heroin, possession of CDS paraphernalia. Eddie Morris Jr was charged with CDS possession of heroin, CDS possession of buprenorphine, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Jeffrey Gowans was charged with CDS possession of heroin, and CDS possession of CDS paraphernalia

All three subjects were transported to the Allegany County Detention Center pending initial appearance’s at District Court.
