Several stolen items have been recovered. According to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office on May 18th, 2020, Deputies with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office executed a search and seizure warrant in the 11000blk of Messick Road, Cumberland, MD. The warrant was the result of an extensive investigation into recent burglaries of storage sheds in the area. The Patrol Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, and the Cumberland Barrack of the Maryland State Police worked collectively to identify and locate the parties believed to be responsible, ultimately leading investigators to the Messick Road home. During the search a large amount of stolen property was recovered in addition to items that are believed to have been stolen and not yet reported.
