Motorcyclist Hospitalized Following Crash

A motorcyclist is hospitalized after a crash in Cumberland. According to Cumberland Police on Monday, July 26th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 600 blk. of Henderson Avenue for the report of a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident with reported injuries. When officers arrived, they observed the motorcycle had collided into the rear of a vehicle. The 67-year-old male operating the motorcycle was found to be at fault for failing to reduce speed to avoid the collision. He was transported to UPMC Emergency Room with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol was also found to be a contributing factor in the accident. Charges are pending.
