Emergency crews responded to reports of flooding following heavy rainfall in the New Creek area of Mineral County last night beginning at about 6:45pm. According to Mineral County Emergency officials about five households were evacuated due to high water. One homeowner had to be assisted by the swift water rescue team. Route 50 was shut down by Division of Highways crews for about an hour due to the high water. There were reports of several trees down and currently one backroad remains underwater. There are no reports of any injuries. Emergency crews cleared most of the flooding scenes by 11pm last night.
