Federal, state, and local health officials continue to strongly urge eligible unvaccinated members of the public to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible. Currently, individuals age 18 and older are eligible to receive any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson). Additionally, the Pfizer COVID vaccine has been approved for use in adolescents ages 12 to 17. Health officials stress that the vaccines, which are being offered free of charge to the public, are safe, effective, and widely available through local health departments, hospitals, pharmacies, and primary care providers.
