Cumberland Woman Arrested on Assault Charges

A Cumberland woman is behind bars on assault charges. According to Cumberland Police on August 12th officers responded to Greene Street for an assault. When they arrived on the scene officers spoke to the victim who had a laceration on their arm which was bleeding heavily. The Cumberland Fire Department was requested to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Officers learned the victim was with the suspect 27 year old Jamie Clark Dolly in an apartment building and got into an argument. Ms. Dolly grabbed a knife and started swinging it at the victim, cutting them in the arm. The victim threw a chair at the suspect and was able to create enough distance to escape the apartment. Officers located Ms. Dolly inside the apartment and she was placed under arrest without issue. Ms. Dolly was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond on charges of 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment.
