Cumberland Police Investigate Animal Cruelty at Constitution Park

The Cumberland City Police Department is investigating allegations of animal cruelty at Constitution Park in the area of the pond. Officers were able to locate photos on which appeared to confirm these allegations and an investigation into this incident was initiated. This investigation is still in the initial stages and at this time it does not appear that any of the animals were seriously injured or killed. After consulting with the Office of the State’s Attorney, charges are pending on three individuals involved in this case. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
