A Cumberland man is arrested on drug charges. According to a press release from Cumberland Police on Thursday, December 5th, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on 33 year old Eric Burley of Cumberland, Maryland. The warrant stemmed from an investigation into the distribution and sales of cocaine in Cumberland, Maryland. On November 21, 2019, members of the Cumberland Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Grand Avenue. During the subsequent search, officers located an amount of cocaine and other CDS paraphernalia which indicated distribution. Consequently, charges were applied for in District Court on Burley. An Arrest Warrant was then issued charging Burley with CDS: possession with intent to distribute: narcotic, CDS: possession not marijuana, CDS: administration equipment, and CDS: possession paraphernalia. Burley was later provided his Initial Appearance in District Court and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
