Closings,Cancellations, Delays and Remote Learning Schedule Changes for Feb 2nd, 2021

The following is a list of closings, cancellations, delays and remote learning schedule changes for Feb 2nd: 

The Bedford Area School District will be operating on a 2-hr delay on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

All schools in Berkeley County will be closed on Tue. Feb. 2, 2021.

Bishop Walsh School will be closed on Tuesday, February 2nd due to inclement weather. This will NOT be an instructional day. The Catholic Schools Week activities scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be rescheduled for later in the week. Middle school standardized testing will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Update: Calvary Christian Academy will be closed today, February 2nd. Daycare will open at 8:30.

UPDATE: All schools in Grant County will now be remote learning on Tue. Feb. 2, 2021.

All schools in Hampshire County will be remote learning on Tue. Feb. 2, 2021.

All schools in Hardy County will be remote learning on Tue. Feb. 2, 2021.

All schools in Mineral County will be remote learning on Tue. Feb. 2, 2021.

All Allegany College of Maryland Campuses will open at 11am  Tuesday February the 2nd. 

Frostburg State University will open at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Garrett College will open at 10am Tuesday, February 2, 2021. All in-person classes and activities with a start time at or after 10am will meet as scheduled. Virtual classes will meet as scheduled unless otherwise stated by faculty/instructor. Campus will be accessible 45 minutes before the opening time. Essential employees report as scheduled. Please note: The biometric screening event scheduled at the CARC has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 23rd. All appointment times will remain the same.

All Potomac State College in-person classes will move to online instruction Tuesday, Feb. 2, until 11:30 a.m.

Allegany County Transit is planning a delayed start of 11 am. 2/2/21 Pending possible cancellation of service. FSU and JARC are pending weather conditions.

Tuesday, February 2, Maryland state officials have declared liberal leave for state employees beginning at 6 am through the end of day shift. Emergency Essential Employees should report as scheduled. Non-emergency essential employees who report to the office to work may use liberal leave upon notification to the employee’s supervisor. Teleworkers should work as scheduled unless leave is granted.

There will be no HRDC home delivered meals today in Allegany County, if you have questions or concerns contact your senior center

Tristate Community Health Center will open today at 9

Kids Korner will open at 8am

Creative Crafters Vinyl Store on Bedford Road will be closed Tuesday, Feb 2nd and will resume regular business hours on Thursday Feb 4th.

Region 8 Solid Waste Authority Petersburg transfer station will open at 8am and the Romney transfer station will open at 10am
