The following is a list of closings, cancellations, delays and remote learning schedule changes:
All Allegany County Public Schools will be completely virtual today, Thursday, February 18, 2021, and no meals will be distributed as a result of inclement weather. In the event that a student is unable to participate in synchronous learning via Schoology as a result of connectivity issues related to inclement weather, please contact your school so that principals can inform classroom teachers. Recorded videos may be accessed for up to 7 days.
The Bedford Area School District will have a remote learning day on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
Beginnings Montessori will be CLOSED Thursday, February 18.
All schools in Berkeley County will be closed on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021.
Bishop Walsh School will be closed for in person learning on Thursday, February 18th, due to inclement weather. This will be a virtual synchronous instructional day with classes beginning at 8:15 am.
Calvary Christian Academy and Daycare will be closed February 18th, and remote learning instructions have been sent home
All schools in Grant County will be remote learning on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021.
All schools in Hampshire County will be remote learning on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021.
All schools in Hardy County will be remote learning on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021.
All schools in Mineral County will be remote learning on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021.
All schools in Morgan County will be remote learning on Thu. Feb. 18, 2021, Code WS.
All ACM campuses will be closed 2/18. All in person and virtual classes are cancelled due to impending weather.
UPDATE: Frostburg State University is now CLOSED all day today, 2/18. In-person classes and activities cancelled.
Garrett College will be closed February 18
Due to the wintery forecast of snow and sleet, all in-person classes at Potomac State College of WVU will move online Thursday, Feb. 18.
On Thursday, February 18, state offices and facilities in the counties listed below will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6:00 pm. Emergency Essential Employees should report as scheduled. Non-emergency essential employees, who are required to report to the office or a worksite to work, should remain home. Employees who are authorized and assigned to telework from home should work at home as scheduled unless leave is granted. Home offices are unaffected by the closure.

The state has declared liberal leave beginning at 6 am through 6 pm in: Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester Counties. Emergency Essential Employees should report as scheduled. Non-emergency essential employees who report to the office to work may use liberal leave upon notification to the employee’s supervisor. Teleworkers should work as scheduled unless leave is granted.
Allegany County District Court will be closed today, Thursday, February 18th due to inclement weather.
Allegany County Circuit Court is closed today
Allegany Transit will not be running today due to weather conditions. This includes FSU and JARC.
HRDC will not be delivering meals today. Two meals went out yesterday in preparation of today’s weather.
All Hampshire County Government offices including Judicial systems will be closed Today, Thursday February 18th 2021
The Allegany County Health Department is closed today.
The Offices of the Garrett County Health Department are closed on Thursday, February 18th, due to inclement weather. This includes all clinics. COVID-19 testing is canceled at the Health Department office and the MEDCO Building in the McHenry Business Park. Testing at the MEDCO Building site will resume on Tuesday unless otherwise announced.
Berry Global is closed and expected to reopen Thursday February 18th at 8pm due to impending weather
Braddock Medical Group will be closed Thursday 2/18 due to impending weather and that they will reopen Friday 2/19.
Cumberland Optical will be closed today.
Diagnostic Radiology will be closed Thursday and Friday
The dental office of Dr. Janice Blough-LaBuda will be closed Thursday, Feb 18 due to the impending winter storm.
Dr. Romaine’s Lifetime Dental Care of Frostburg will be closed Thursday February 18th due to inclement weather.
Tristate Community Health Center opening at 10am 2/18
Urology Associates will be opening at 10am Feb 18th
The Candle Cupboard will be closed Thursday, February 18th and will reopen on Friday, February 19th weather permitting.
Due to expected severe weather on Thursday, vaccination appointments at both the Allegany County health department and the Rawlings clinic are being postponed. Those with appointments will be contacted with a rescheduled appointment time.
COVID-19 testing at the MEDCO Building in the McHenry Business Park is canceled for Thursday, February 18, due to inclement weather. In order to accommodate persons who wish to be tested on Thursday, the Garrett County Health Department is making appointments available for persons with or without COVID-19 symptoms at their office in Oakland. Call 301-334-7697 to schedule an appointment for Thursday. Testing at the MEDCO Building site will resume on Tuesday unless otherwise announced.
