Cause of Motor Home Fire Under Investigation

The cause of a fire that destroyed a motor home is under investigation. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office on June 15th at about 2:21 am the fire broke out in the inside dash of the passenger compartment of the motor home along Temperance Row in Barton. The motor home was not occupied for camping at the time of the fire. It was being driven to a different location.   A nearby home and vehicle received exterior heat damage from the fire. The fire caused about $4,000 in damage. Eight firefighters were called to the scene and had the fire under control in about 10 minutes. Anyone with information is requested to contact the State Fire Marshal’s Office at 301-766-3888.
