The cause of a fire in Cumberland remains under investigation. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office the blaze broke out in the kitchen area at 2am in a one story single family home on Williams Road Thursday morning. The fire was discovered by a neighbor. Three dogs died in the blaze. 35 firefighters had the fire under control in about 25 minutes. The fire caused about $73,000 in damage.
