Cause of Fire At Wendy’s in LaVale Under Investigation

The cause of a fire at Wendy’s restaurant in LaVale is under investigation. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office the fire broke out in the storage area of the restaurant at about 6:39pm Sept. 22nd. An employee noticed the blaze. 50 firefighters were called to the scene and had the fire under control in about 15 minutes. One employee was checked on scene for smoke inhalation but was not transported. The fire caused about $10,000 in damage. The restaurant is temporarily closed.
