The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that destroyed two barns. The blaze broke out at about 12:55am this morning in a 30×40 wood framed barn and a 20×30 wood framed barn located on Bedford Road in Cumberland. The fire was discovered by a neighbor. 35 firefighters were called to the scene and had the fire under control about 40 minutes. The fire caused about $100,000 in damage.
