Allegany County Board of Elections Officials Remind Residents of Changes for the June 2nd Primary

The Maryland Primary Election will be held on June 2nd. Eligible voters should have received a ballot in the mail. Allegany County Board of Elections Director Diane Loibel discusses the process to get ballots sent in. Voters will also be able to vote in person at the Allegany County Office Complex on June 2nd. She says they will also be live streaming the canvassing online. The MD Presidential Primary Election will be held on June 2, 2020. This election will be conducted primarily by mail. All registered and eligible voters will be mailed a ballot for this election.
Voters should have received their ballot and now through June 2nd, there will be a ballot drop box located at the Allegany County Office Complex, 701 Kelly Road, Room 100, Cumberland, for those voters who prefer to drop off their ballot in person.  In addition, there will be one in-person vote center on election day for voters who cannot vote by mail. The vote center will be located at the Allegany County Office Complex, 701 Kelly Road, Room 100, Cumberland. Hours are from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Voters are reminded that social distancing guidelines will be followed on election day and voters should bring masks and whatever supplies they need to feel safe while voting.
